Dear Reader,

With this first issue, I am pleased to announce the launch of the International Journal of Health and Allied Sciences (IJHAS), by JSS University, Mysore. This journal is a multidisciplinary online free-accessed, peer-reviewed Journal for Health and Medical sciences and Basic sciences along with biomedical sciences. This journal is intended to publish quality research with rapid review process. IJHAS will particularly encourage the research in the overlapping prospective areas.

This journal aims to address the need of being a forum for publishing scientific research articles in emerging areas in the field of Health and Medical sciences along with the papers on basic sciences and biomedical sciences. The IJHAS will be published every quarter. The journal will contain original research papers on the health topics. In addition, the journal may occasionally contain special issues on various related topics about health and medical sciences, book reviews, conference reports, letters to the editors, conference announcements, etc.

I would like to place my appreciation and thanks to the people who have helped in starting this new journal. We are particularly grateful to the Associate Editors, worthy reviewers, and the members of editorial board who provided us with a lot of support and advice, and who will continue to represent the journal in their geographical areas. We are sure that their international reputation and great expertise in the field will have a significant contribution in shaping up the journal and making IJHAS a prestigious journal.

It is also my great pleasure to welcome the members of the Editorial Board of IJHAS. We rely on their expertise for reviewing and accepting papers to the journal. Therefore their contribution to the journal is invaluable and we are grateful to them for giving their time to review papers for the journal.

Suggestions to improve the journal to better heights are welcome by the authors, readers, and subscribers of this journal and will be always very much appreciated.

With warm regards,

Yours sincerely,
